Symptom-only treatment
- Clean or paint over the visible mould
- Use generic “damp proof” products
- Ignore airflow, cold surfaces or external defects
- Problem returns and you pay again
FREE DAMP & MOULD ASSESSMENT
If damp or mould keeps returning, the visible patch may only be the symptom. We assess the likely cause — from condensation and poor ventilation to cold bridging, roof leaks, gutter defects and penetrating damp — before recommending the right remedy.
CAUSE BEFORE CURE
That matters because the correct fix for condensation may be completely different from the correct fix for penetrating damp or a roof leak.
SPRAYED CORK & THERMAL COATINGS
Where cold internal surfaces and condensation are part of the cause, a suitable thermal coating such as sprayed cork may form part of the remedial plan. We would not position it as a universal cure for every type of damp; water ingress or other defects should be addressed first where present.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
We make the route clear before you commit to work.
Postcode, room, location of damp or mould and how long it has been happening.
We identify the likely causes and whether a site visit is appropriate.
Relevant building elements are checked so the recommendation fits the cause.
You receive clear options and a written quotation where remedial work is needed.

Ideal if mould is returning, walls feel damp or cold, condensation is heavy, or you simply do not know what is causing the problem.
USEFUL ANSWERS
No. Mould growth needs moisture, but that moisture may come from condensation, poor ventilation, leaks, penetrating damp or a combination of factors.
Mould treatment may be part of the work, but if the source of moisture is not addressed it can return. Our positioning is to diagnose first and treat the cause where possible.
It can be considered for suitable cold-wall or thermal-bridging situations, particularly where surface temperature is part of a condensation issue. It is not presented as a universal fix for all damp.
That is exactly why the wider Property Cure model matters. Where the cause is roofline or water ingress, we can assess the relevant remedial work rather than trying to sell the wrong damp treatment.
